INTRODUCTION The way the body of a sentient being reacts to expectations, habits, and handicaps can be explained by INK, Imprinting Neuro-Kinesiology, the study of behavior and motion control. Beau Geste newsletter ESOAR presents the logic of this Science and its application to Equestrian Sports Therapy and the Art of Dressage. INK's logic stems from the awareness that senteint beings instinctively evolve seeking their own well-being. Physiologically and psychologically their body controlled by their central nervous system tends to seek an equilibrium that satisfies their desire for well-being. This equilibrium is important to coordinate their motion. It becomes critical if a rider challenges near its limit the horse's capabilty. Thus, the application of INK explains how the quality of equestrian performances depend on the "Awareness, Balance, and Coordination" of both horse and rider. Applying INK scientifically calls for a clear understanding of the integrated neurological functions of riders and horses.. INK's logo is the skeleton of a diagram integrating all major neurological functions. Copyright 1999, 2001. All rights reserved to Michel Kaplan and Beau Geste S.O.A.R. |
